The Seminole District held no surprises for the spectators this year as long time champions, Jefferson Forest, won both the boys and girls team titles. Under the direction of coach Jerome Loy the cavaliers swept both races, winning the boys race with a team total of 18 points to second place Heritage High School’s 68, while the girls took their title with 24 points over the runner-up school, Brookville. In the Milestat era, the Seminole District has never seen a champion other than Jefferson Forest in both the boys and girls races, as the Cavaliers have won the district as far back as the database shows, 2000. Both the boys and girls teams are looking to continue their dominance over their competition as they progress on to the Region III race Thursday October 30th, at Weyers Cave.
