Sprint Events
In the shortest races of the meet comes the highest risk/reward races. Micaiah Harris (Western Branch), Qhiyal Towns (Heritage), and Shadajah Ballard (Western Branch) will all be looking for fast starts and good lane draws this weekend against some very tough competition.
The one least talked about may actually have the best shot this weekend and that is Qhiyal Towns. He enters the meet just a few shades off of the US lead in the 55m dash which means with a perfect start he will be right there if he can navigate the rounds in the 60.
In the 60mH races Western Branch's Shadajah Ballard will look to take on Jones, Brissett, and Davis in a very top heavy finals in this race. The national record could fall in a big way if these athletes are able to cruise at least thru the prelims.
Finally in the 200, Harris will have a good shot at sneaking up on the slow-starting but very powerful Tyrese Cooper. He may not be the best at starting but his speed is unmatched meaning if Harris can get a jump on him and has a preferred lane... anything can happen.
