The Bethel girls have not won a state title in several years for track and may finally have a group of girls strong enough to end that drought with two solid relays and one of the state's top hurdlers in Courtni Pannell. However, the defending champions Landstown girls are still a force to be reckoned with as they possess a great hurdler as well in Taylor Wheaton along with the state's fastest at 300 meters in Marlena Wesh. Currently the two Eastern Region schools are ranked as the top two teams in Virginia according to MileStat.com. (Photo above by Ted Plunkett).
