Girls' Varsity A Race
Wow did we learn a lot from the Girls A race. For starters we definitely know superstar Emma Wolcott is back in action and now is officially the 5A favorite after her 18:52 victory. In a close second though was Julia Ghiselli who apparently now looks like an early sleeper pick for the 6A crown as only a freshman.
Finally on the team front it was all Loudoun Valley on the tough Oatlands course but the real story was second place. Chantilly's girls who have been slowly and consistently building over the past few years broke through in a big way this weekend with their runner-up finish. Keep an eye on them moving into the post-season and definitely at regionals.
