Girls' Team Preview & Prediction
Preseason it was all GCM but without Heather Holt toeing the line in full strength it looks like Lake Braddock and Oakton will be the two powerhouses battling for this one.
Our predicted finish will be Lake Braddock edging out Oakton by 5 or less points. Right now it looks like a runaway but that is because sneaky Oakton is doing what they do best, hiding until the post-season.
Both of these teams though has to keep an eye on Colonial Forge and GCM who both have solid squads with strong front-runners. That combination almost always pays big dividends come the state meet.
The most important runners will be Lake Braddock's 3-4-5-6 who are closely ranked together. If these ladies can keep with the Oakton pack then they will win the team title. If Oakton is able to shake these ladies and have a break thru performance up front then Oakton could take the title back.
