Top 10 private school girls' rankings for each event as of January 26th. A native from North Carolina, but attending boarding school at Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Shantell Bingham (pictured above by John Herzog) has been undefeated this season in the 55 meter hurdles. She ranks among one of the state's best with a season best time of 8.21 and recently clocked a 7.0 hand held time in 55 meter hurdles at a home meet last Friday. A defending state champion indoors and outdoors in the hurdles, Bingham is in a distinct class of her own against other private school hurdlers in Virginia with a huge margin for an 8 to 10 second race of 1.02 seconds existing between Bingham and the next fastest hurdler.
