1. Midlothian - The best front four in the state as the only team with four runners under 19 minutes for 5K this season, Midlothian has the most talent with Kara Dickerson having a breakthrough season as their #1 including a 18:14 personal best at Midlothian. The Johnston sisters, Marie and Kari, have been away from the soccer fields enough this fall to be available to compete in key meets for Midlothian, while Skylar Evans has made a quick and successful transition to the 5K distance in her first season of cross country. Evans, a regional champion at 800 meters last spring, has been competing this fall with a heavy heart in the passing of her father, but has been an inspiration to her teammates. Midlothian's depth is still an area of concern as they really fall off after their fifth runner Megan Mulroy, so they can afford no injuries, illness, or extremely subpar runs from their front five.
