We would like to invite you and your team to the Colonial Forge Showcase meet, to be held this year May 6 & 7 at our track in Stafford, VA. While you can find full meet information below, we wanted to direct your attention to a few things that we believe separates our meet from the typical meet:

Entry/Payment Options We understand that every team has different needs when it comes to entries for Saturday invitationals. As such, we have provided two ways to enter our meet: a team entry fee and an individual entry fee. If you are looking to bring an entire team, you can use the team entry fee and receive a certain number of entries per event for a discount. If you are only looking to bring a small number of athletes, you can use the individual entry fee to save money. The individual entry fee may also be used for teams that would like to enter additional athletes in an event over the amount of slots they were given.

Events ordered with the athletes in mind Because of the proximity of our meet to the championship season, we know how important it can be for athletes to hit qualifying marks- we have arranged our time schedule with this in mind. We have separated the running events that most athletes are likely to double in to separate days to give them multiple opportunities to run fresh. We tried to group certain events together (such as the throws, hurdles, etc.) so that these athletes will not have to come to the meet both days if you prefer. We also tried to schedule as much of the meet as possible under the lights so as to avoid the heat so common at this time of year.

College/Professional Time Schedule One of the biggest challenges as a high school coach at a meet, especially with large teams, can be getting your athletes to the right place at the right time. Once we have received all entries and have made heats, we will release a final time schedule, event by event. Meet management will do its best to stick exactly to this time schedule so that your team can plan its warm-ups accordingly.

Coachs Hospitality We will be providing a coachs hospitality room both nights of the meet. Dinner will be available both nights in the hospitality room pizza on Friday and Chik-Fil-A sandwiches on Saturday. On both nights we will have water, sodas, chips, baked goods, and other snacks available as well.

Survivor Race We conclude the meet each year in our unique way the Survivor Race. Each team will be given at least one entry into the race (final number will be determined by interest); all competitors will start the race, with a pre-determined number of runners to be pulled from the field each lap until only one remains. The winner will be given a special award.

FREE LODGING for out of area teams Yes you read that right, please email us for more information!

We look forward to seeing you and your team on May 6 & 7. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us!
