Boys Team Preview
Three teams appear to have serious chances at becoming the boys' state team champions between Northwest Region champions and this past indoor's state champions from Forest Park as well as the Eastern Region and Southeastern District's best squads in Western Branch and Grassfield.

Forest Park has one of the more impressive trios of sprinters in Mustaqeem Williams, Ricky Morgan, and Joshua Washington as well as the second fastest 4x100 meter relay team in state history with a 40.91 clocking at the Northwest Regional. Williams is their biggest point getter as the defending Group AAA state 100 meter dash champion and also predicted to score in the 200, long jump, and triple jump. Morgan can place high in the open 400, while Washington can score in the 200. Andrew Gaiser, seeded 8th in the 3200, could be a difference maker in the final team standings.
