Updated Cream of the Crop Top 25 All-Classification Team Rankings for the state of Virginia as of October 22nd. Some of the biggest rises from our last edition include the Midlothian boys who went from VA #16 to VA #3 as they got a boost in the return of Randy Hahn to their lineup at the MileStat.com Invitational to claim second behind only the state's top ranked James Robinson boys and leapfrog many of the state's best teams previously ranked ahead of them. The 4A favorites Midlothian arguably have one of the state's best teams thru four runners with three guys under 16 minutes this season in Tommy Mulroy, Evan Benjamin, and Collin Hahn then a fourth runner in Randy Hahn coming off a 16:18 season debut PR at Pole Green. However, the Robinson boys and Battlefield boys definitely still appear to be the Cream of the Crop in the state with Robinson having the best pack in the state, while Battlefield has a similarly strong top 4 to Midlo, but much stronger in the critical #5 position. It was one of the few head-to-head matchups that we did not get a chance to see in the last weekends of invitational season with the Battlefield boys winning impressively at the Third Battle Invitational over VA #5 Osbourn Park, while Robinson took first in a loaded field of ranked schools at the MileStat.com Invite. They will see each other in two weeks for the 6A North Region title at Burke Lake Park.
