Men's Race Highlights: NC State senior and former Jamestown runner Andrew Colley was one of the top American born finishers in the race after running up with the race leaders for the first half of the race before holding onto a 7th place finish and time of 30:12. The University of Virginia men finished 13th overall in the team standings with a squad that featured 6 natives of Virginia led by an All-American 18th place effort of 30:27 by former Grafton High School runner Kyle King (30:27). Three Virginians earned All-American honors with the last being also a member of this year's NCAA Champion squad from Colorado in former Western Branch High School distance runner Blake Theroux as his team's #3 runner in 23rd place overall (30:34).
Women's Race Highlights: Another trio of former Virginia high school stars earned All-American individual honors with top 35 finishes in the women's 6K race between University of Virginia's Barbara Strehler (Trinity Episcopal School) in 24th place, University of North Carolina's Annie LeHardy (Hidden Valley High School) in 25th place, and Iowa State University's Crystal Nelson (Millbrook High School) in 32nd place. Strehler also helped lead the UVA women to a top 10 finish in 9th place with 283 points, while the William & Mary women were not too far back in 12th place with 326 points.
