BLACKSBURG, VA -- The Virginia Tech women perfected score their home meet at the Hokie Invitational as they took the first six individual places. Hokies senior Marlies Overbeeke continues to impress as she won the women's 4.7 kilometer race in a time of 16:48.32. The next 5 finishers for Tech were Moriah O'Brien (17:28.48), Kim Milbourn (17:33.71), Jessica Morris (17:43.76), Kristy VanCour (17:49.30), and Morgan Ekemo (17:56.35). Radford women (5th, 113 pts) and Lynchburg women (6th, 149 pts) also competed in the 7 team field. Radford senior Goran Nava won the men's 7.7 kilometer race in a time of 24:28.31. Michael Lawson (2nd, 24:54.42) and LA Snead (3rd, 24:57.46) paced the Virginia Tech men to a second place finish with 58 points behind team title winner Cumberland of West Virginia (45 pts). The Lynchburg men (4th, 90 pts) and Radford (5th, 102 pts) also competed and faired well.
