CARY, NC -- The rest of the teams in the nation better take notice of the University of Virginia's men squad now after their performance at the Great American Cross Country Festival. The Cavaliers finished fifth overall (146 pts) in the highly competitive Race of Champions 8K race as they defeated the likes of ACC rivals Duke and defending Southeast regional champs N.C. State. Virginia was led by the individual efforts of Will Christian (6th, 25:55.3) and Walton Kingsberry (7th, 25:59.6) who finished well in the top ten. Andy Filacheck (18th, 26:17), Dave Vitto (47th, 26:51.3), and Alex Tatu (68th, 27:18.5) rounded out a solid five for the Cavaliers.
