The girls long jump was very competitive with many of the best jumpers in the state including James River's Kellie Wells (above) who finished 4th with a mark of 17'05.25".

Defending Group AA State champion Foster jumped well enough to take 2nd (17'08.50").

However, it was Salem sophomore Amy Seward who ruled supreme over her fellow long jumpers...

As Seward reached atop the podium with her leap of 18'06.50".

Centreville's Alicia LaRoche goes up and over for the win...

Houston...I mean Dinwiddie...we have take off! Moore goes airborne with this leap of 49'11.25". Talk about hang time!
