The Region III cross country championships at Wolf Branch Farm in Forest were dominated by two different themes Thursday. The first was change, while the second was overcoming challenges. The biggest change was the realignment of the region with the Southern Valley and Massanutten districts joining the region replacing the River Ridge, leaving all sorts of possibilities for athletes to claim the top spot on the podium.
Amid this reorganizing and shifting, Laura Rapp of Heritage remained consistent, winning the girls' race in 19 minutes, 5 seconds.
