Sprints

In the sprint events an elite group of Virginians will toe the lines in hopes of achieving at least all-american honors. We have Alexys Taylor of Osbourn Park (6A North 100, 200, and 400 Champion) in both the 100 and 200. Joining her in the 200 will be Hampton senior Tori Ray (5A State 100, 200, and 400 Champion) and Grassfield's Lauryn Ghee.

Ghee is only a sophomore and the current state leader in this event. Her time of 23.96 also sits at 14th all-time. She is seeded in lane 5 of the first prelim in this race.

In the 400m dash we have another super sophomore in Destiny Ward representing Virginia. Ward has run 53.97 which is 6th all-time in the state. She was also the 6A State Champion upsetting Ghee's triple crown bid. Ward is in lane 7 of the final section in this race.

Also joining Ward is Tiffany Harris, Kayla Smith and 5A State champ Tori Ray.
