How fast is Trevor Dominy?
Trevor Dominy may be a new name to a lot of folks with his VA #6 rankings at 15:46 but to 1A athletes and teams he is a known veteran. For years he has gone against some of the historically best small school athletes including back-to-back champion Cliff Conley of Galax who just graduated this past spring. With his departure came Dominy's chance to shine. So far this season he is doing just that in an attempt to solidify himself as the fastest 1A athlete ever.
Right now he sits solidly at #3 all-time behind Nathan Brame (15:39) and Walker Mogen (15:45) who both hail from Radford High School. This weekend could have been his weekend to shine as he was entered an an individual in the Race of Champions against the biggest and best competition around. He has a couple more meets where he can go for it this year, keep an eye on him.
