Out of nowhere to the top. Waleed may be a shoe in for most improved this year considering he went from a pr of 15:53 last season to running 15:10 and finishing 6th at Foot Locker South this year. He was the 5A State Champion opening faster than Drew Hunter and running surprisingly well from the front. He has accumulated eight victories this season compared to his one victory a year ago.
Waleed is also the top ranked junior on this list and one of two state champions this year to win as a junior (the other being Maggie Walker's Ryan Buscaglia).
