Alex Lomong (FUMA)

2:34.41 1000m Run (Already VA #3)

This was hands down the most impressive performance to watch this weekend. Not necessarily because of the time, which is impressive, but by the way he did it. He consistently clocked even splits and was running hip to hip with Gannon Willcutts but as the bell rang he just sprinted past everyone. He had to have closed in around 24-25 seconds for his final 200m! He was rolling. Watch that race here!

Katrina Batredo (Western Albemarle) 

VA #3 11-0 Pole Vault 

It is not easy to pole vault and it is especially difficult to do that event at Fork Union. This is the case because you have fans on all sides of you for the entirety of the competition, you really have to focus and apply yourself and that is what Katrina did this weekend to improve to VA #3 and just four inches off of the Virginia lead for the season.

Davina Lane (Sherando) 

42.87 300m Dash 

Davina ran a superb 300 and won the event clocking a 42.87 time. This is especially impressive considering the track is only 160m and has very sharp turns. That equates to nearly a 40 on a banked 200m track! This was a very impressive victory.
