Last year this team race came down to the final event and this year it could be even closer than that. Last year it was a throw-down between Western Branch and T.C. Williams on the boy's side. Going into the final event, the 4x400 the meet would be decided based on how these teams placed. This is not the scenario anyone wants to happen again though as T.C. will not be beat in the 4x400.
Right now leading the way is Chantilly with three teams tied behind them and defending champs T.C. Williams at 5th. Don't sleep on T.C. though since Josephus Lyles will be favored in the 500 and third seed in the 55 while his older brother Noah will be the top seed in the 300 come states time. That, coupled with Noah's 6-9 high jump best, adds an additional 21 points to their score moving them from 38 to 59.
