#4 Naomi Whitaker (I.C. Norcom) vs Amira Aduma (Phoebus)
If you want to compare rivalries by points scored then this rivalry takes the crown after this past indoor season. At the 3A State Championship it was a battle for the ages with Aduma taking home 38 points and Whitaker bringing in a whopping 42 points. They met in only two events (300 and 500) but of course split them by roughly 1.5 seconds combined between the two events.
This rivalry really is just like the epic Carolyn Brown and Brandee' Johnson one and just like them, one if a grade above the other (Whitaker is class of 2016).
Because of reclassification this rivalry is going to be heated once again this outdoor state meet where we will likely see a 200/400 battle between these two and many more battles at the conference and regional level also.
Whitaker may have scored more points at indoor states but Aduma leads the head-to-head battle 6-4 thanks to an epic photo finish. This race video alone shows just why these two are rivals and forces to be reckoned with this post-season.
