Making her second Olympic team is Bethel standout Francena McCorory. She finished 5th in the trials with a time of 50.37 but makes the relay pool based both on ranking and finish. She entered the competition as the twice defending outdoor national champion but was unable to defend her title this time around.
It is good news for VA though that she will very much have a chance to run on the 4x400 in the final which is both great for her and for the USA. The relay coaches will likely run her in prelims and semi-finals and if she splits a fast split she will make the final.
