Girls Championship
Over the past few years Saint Catherine's has built up a solid powerhouse team that now cannot even be touched. Though they will not sweep the events, their mixture of depth and talent is just far too great for any other team in VISAA. Expect them to put on a show on the girls' side as many of their seniors take to their home track one last time.
Collegiate and Norfolk Academy though will have a very tight battle for the runner-up trophy.
On the individual front it is going to be a superstar showdown between Hannah Ballowe, Julia Lambert, and Morgan Lewis. Ballowe enters as the fastest 500,1000, and 1600m athlete in VISAA while Lambert enters the meet in an attempt to defend her 1K - 1600 - 3200 triple crown from last year. Lewis on the other hand enters as the winningest athlete of them all tallying over a dozen state titles to her name.
Unfortunately we will not get to see all three of them face off in an event but will get to see at least two of them in every event 1K-3200.
In the sprint events Bridget Fitzsimon of Paul VI will be attempting a triple crown of her own in the 55-300 - 4x200.
Our prediction for athlete of the meet: Julia Lambert (Norfolk Academy)
Our prediction for team champion: Saint Catherine's
