Marsh Finally Jumping For National Championship

Despite being a junior with an astounding eight state titles to her name already, Titiana Marsh has yet to compete at either New Balance Indoor or Outdoor nationals. This season though is different, she is coming to NYC with one thing on her mind... a national championship.

The Thomas Dale (Chester) junior is entered in both the long jump and triple jump competitions. She will enter as the second seed in the triple and third seed in the long jump with her season bests of 42-0 and 20-1. Her pr's in those events are a combined one inch off of both VA state records.

Titiana Marsh's Athlete Profile

Ever since her first state championship it was obvious that she is a winner. She solidified that when on her sixth attempt as a frosh she set the national freshman class record. She did that again this past year again on her sixth jump.

This states was different though and has definitely put a fire under her to achieve greater goals. Though she kept her streak of state titles in the triple jump going, she did finish second to Jada Terrell (Western Branch) in the long jump and that obviously angered her.

This weekend in New York Marsh is going to be on a mission. She will definitely have to play it "safe" to get into the finals but once she gets that mark to get her into the finals the show will begin. If it is going to take a national record to win, Marsh is the one girl who can definitely achieve that and go jump for jump with California's Tara Davis.
