NEW YORK CITY, NY -- The Northern Region represented Virginia well through Friday's events at the National Scholastic Indoor Championships held at the Armory in New York City. Lake Braddock had two All-American individuals as junior Brad Clark pulled out a fifth place finish in the 5000 meter run with his time of 15:24 with fellow Lake Braddock junior Ashley Haislip tied for sixth overall in the high jump competition with her 5-5.75 clearance. The Westfield boys' relay team of James Scheiner, Chris Courson, Chris Black, and David Groff finished fourth in the distance medley relay with a great time of 10:12.89. Meanwhile, the Westfield 4x400 meter relay team finished just off All-American honors with an eighth place finishing time of 3:22.85. Charlottesville senior Wesley Watson also just missed All-Americans honors as his jump of 21-11.75 placed him eighth in the long jump.
