After the first day of events, Deep Run leads the team competition on both sides with the Deep Run girls out in front with their 4x800 meter relay victory and Briana Hudson picking up 16 points between a first place finish in the high jump and third place finish in the triple jump. Despite missing their top hurdler Brad Carnahan due to illness, Deep Run boys are leading after Friday's events with strong performances out of the field events with Matthew Armentrout winning the pole vault and Thomas Fuson taking runner-up in the shot put.The Atlee boys appear to be in strong position though for day two after a 4x800 meter relay victory anchored by Ben Dejarnette.
The shot put was won by Clover Hill senior Anthony Davis (pictured above by Anthony Davis) with a personal best throw of 52'6.50" and is the first regional champion track athlete for Coach Miles at Clover Hill aka "MileStat".
