The first annual MileStat.com Elite Track Classic will be held in less than 3 weeks on April 24th and 25th in Richmond, VA. The first day of events on Friday, April 24th will be held at Maggie Walker Governor's School. Only relays (4x800, 4x100, 4x400) will be contested on Friday. The second day of events on Saturday, April 25th will be held at Sports Backers Stadium. All individual events and no relays will be contested on Saturday.
The goal is to become the largest and biggest track event in the state of Virginia and allow teams to bring their athletes not only attempting to qualify for state competition, but district competition as well. The relays on Friday should be a big draw as teams will be loading up their relays with fresh legs. Moving the relays to Friday also allows for more individual event entries in the time schedule for Saturday as we are expecting up to 80 entries in each running event. The meet will be catered to team's strengths as coaches will be able to enter as many athletes as they want in a specific event as long as they have all met the standard. The meet will conclude with the always exciting steeplechase!
