Olympian Kellie Wells-Brinkley Staying Active In Track

Team VA alum and Olympic Medalist, Kellie Wells-Brinkley is staying active in our sport even after her competitive running career is over. The 2006 Hampton University and 2001 James River alum had a huge career including a state title (2001), a national title (2011) and an Olympic medal (2012) in the 100H. She also won the 2011 indoor 60mH title too.

Kellie is not only one of Virginia's most successful track athletes but also has one of the most inspiring stories around. She has faced adversity at all levels and triumphed too.

While up in New York covering the New Balance Indoor Nationals MileStat caught up with her to hear about her awesome new role with Eastbay and on her career choices from high school until now.

If you are an athlete facing adversity, having a tough decision deciding on the right college, or just need some inspiration for how you can stay a part of this sport long after you're done competing we highly recommend you listen to the interview above.
