Phenom Scott wins AAU National Title

ORLANDO, FL -- At the AAU National Cross Country Meet, 11 year old Aurora Scott of Portsmouth won the youth girls division national title. Scott was clocked in a stellar time of 10:28.5 on the 3K course. This wasn't Scott's first national title. Scott was won two state titles at the AAU National Meet in Hampton last summer and set two age group national records in the 1500m and 3000m. Her times would beat most of the current high school runners. It will be interesting to see how much she will improve once she reaches the high school running scence. As of right now though, she is the best 11 year old in the entire nation. Quite an honor for any runner to be the best at their age.
