The first of this list if Ali Ibrahim of Glen Allen who has come close so many times and always fallen just short of that title. This weekend though he rebounded after heartbreak in the 4x8 and kicked his way to a state title in the 1600. He also finished second in the 3200 after suffering a fall just one lap in.
In both races he kicked to get his position near the top, talk about grit!
