Jaren Holmes The 1st Since Holloway To Win A Triple At State

Arguably the biggest performance from States this past weekend was actually three performances by Riverbend senior Jaren Holmes. Holmes was the Class 6 state champion in the high jump (6-8), triple jump (50-1.5), and long jump (24-0). He also finished fourth in the 110mH to score a total of 35 points at the state meet.

He not only just won those events, he dominated them. His triple jump leads the state now, his long jump is just two inches away from the state lead, and his high jump is VA #3 this season.

His triple is also the first triple, of any events at the state meet, for Class 6 since national record holder Grant Holloway took home the 110H, long jump, and high jump titles in 2016.

Jaren is also nominated as one of the best performers in then tire nation on the MileSplit USA page.
