It is hard to believe, but the Albemarle boys were actually defeated in relay action last year. The national record breakers in the 4x800 indoor and outdoor as well as DMR national champions at Nike Indoor Champions proved to be beatable but in a cross country setting last September in the 2 mile leg-4 runners relay at the Ragged Mountain Cup at the hands of Western Albemarle with Foot Locker finalist Kyle Satterwhite and Nike All-American miler Tyler Stutzman. The landscape of Central Virginia high school running has changed drastically with the graduation of a great 2009 class of runners, so Tuesday evening's Ragged Mountain Cup should usher in new names and teams to carry the torch for this fall.
