E.C. Glass alum Peter Seufer repeated as ACC champion Friday morning with his 23:42 winning 8K time. That time is also his fastest 8K performance in two years. His past three finishes at the Atlantic Coast Conference XC meet have been 1st, 1st, and 7th as a sophomore.

He won this title by a margin of 39 seconds. His Hokie team finished 4th by a tie-breaker with the University of Virginia who also had 100 points. Syracuse won and Notre Dame was second. He also led the entire race splitting +3, +11, +32, and +39 seconds ahead of his competition at the mile splits.

Peter was also the indoor 3K ACC champion and finished 16th at NCAA XC Nationals last year in Wisconsin. He was the top athlete from a Virginia college or high school alum.

Peter is the perfect example of mastering your craft and looking at the longterm plan rather than the short term. Here is just a glimpse at his trajectory as an athlete.
