Joe Hawkes did not have the perfect XC season but man he made a point indoors that he is still the guy to beat in Class 3. This past Tuesday he took home the win in the 1600 in 4:14 and 1K in 2:34.66. The big race was the 1600 (video above) where he literally dived at the line for the win.
Those wins were his fourth and fifth state titles and his 14th and 15th all-state finish as well.
