WATCH: Powhatan's Greenhow Go F.A.T. 10.49!

Powhatan junior (class of 2021) Anthony Greenhow is like many athletes in the state of Virginia that has continued to train regardless of events happening or not. His training certainly paid off on July 8th when he was able to run a new PR in the 100 with his 10.49 clocking. He followed it up an hour later running 21.31 PR in the 200m dash.

To make this all happen took a village.

First it took Anthony to continue his training at a high level despite not having run in a race since March third. That was Class 4 states when he finished second in the 300m dash. Next it took his coach Keilah Tyson who never stopped giving him words of encouragement and the proper tools to make himself better. Then you had Bernard Canady who volunteered his day to time the meet and serve as an official. Finally you had the family and friends and other officials that all had a part in making this meet happen.

His times of 10.49 in the 100 ranks 17th all-time and his time of 21.31 ranks just outside of the all-time list which has a cutoff of 21.30 which puts him around 35th all-time in that event. His times are school records and state leading times for outdoors in 2020.
