Justin Braun was among the state's contingent who made their way to Virginia Beach for this past weekend's VA Showcase. There, the sprint ace, representing his club team, the Ohio Heat, mixed it up with some of the nation's best in the 300m and 500m competitions.
His debut in the aforementioned events ended up going rather well, to put it mildly. Braun clocked 33.24 in the 300 for runner-up honors and followed that showing with a thrilling victory at the line in the 500, where he dropped a 1:02.67 mark.
