EUGENE, OREGON - Brian Fussell, a rising senior at Hayfield High School, posted the second fastest qualifying time in his preliminaries heat of the 800 meter run in the young men\'s division with a personal best time of 1:52.28 at the USA Track and Field National Junior Olympic Championships. Fussell, the 2004 AAA outdoor state champion at 800 meters, improved upon his previous personal best by a full two seconds (1:54.29). The time is also the fastest posted by any Virginia high school prep this season. The finals of the 800 meter run will be held on Saturday, July 31st.
