Former VA star athlete and state champion, Marlena Wesh (Landstown) is set to appear on the upcoming season of the Bachelor. This will be the 26th season for the show that averages over five million nightly viewers. The new season is set to premier on January 3rd.

Marlena was a 2009 graduate of Landstown high school and then competed for Oklahoma University and Clemson University. She was a multiple time conference champion while at Clemson.

She was a 2012 Olympian for Haiti and made the Olympic semi-final in the 400m dash.

When Wesh was in high school she ranked as one of the fastest 55, 300, and relay runners in the state. Her 4x400m team ran a then state record of 3:46.91 in 2008. That state record held for seven years before being broken and now sits at VA #5 all-time.

Marlena's fun fact on her show profile is that she had a white Mohawk in high school, in fact that was something all the runners knew about back in the day as she was very recognizable and frankly, unbeatable as well.
