The 2023 installment is already shaping up to be another big one with top athletes coming from VA, MD, DC, PA, NY, NJ, OH, FL, TX, and many more states.

Unlike many meets, this meet does not just focus on a fast mile or relay, across the board this meet is stacked and its not just the top finishers but the sheer depth of this meet. Annually it sees over 800 nationally elite performances, more than double any other invitational in the US all season.

Here are just a few of the top entries entered in this year's competition:

In the sprints you have athletes like Shawnti Jackson (NC) or Micah Larry (FL) who have each run 11.07 and 10.27 in the 100m dash. Shawnti is also knocking on the door of that 300m national record set by Sydney McLaughlin while Larry enters with a long jump PR of 25-11. Both athletes have serious shots at multiple national records.

Then you jump over to the girls jumps where Cheyla Scott (NC) enters with a personal best of 6-2 in the high jump and Avery Lewis (PA) enters with a personal best of 21-2.5 in the long jump. Both within reach of records.

Even in the hurdles and distance races you have all the big names. You'll see Sophia Gorriaran racing the best in the country in both the 500 and 1K where she is looking to cement her name as the best mid-distance runner in US history. Over in the hurdles you have world champion Akala Garrett battling the likes of Myla Greene and frosh star Shakayla Lavender

If those individual events aren't fun enough for you you'll also be treated to excellent fields in the 4x2's, DMR's, 4x8's and even a national record attempt in the Mixed 4x400m relay.

What makes this meet different from the rest is its size and atmosphere. It is a meet within a meet allowing teams to bring their full teams while also granting the elite runners the chance to compete on the biggest stage.

Picture a meet with primetime, that is the VA Showcase and it is all going to be live on MileSplit!
