Is This Single A\'s Best Year?!

Many people can say it\'s going to be Single A\'s best year and others can say it\'s going to suck. But personally, I believe it\'s going to be Single A\'s best season because for the simple fact that it\'s anyone\'s race.

Amelia doesn\'t have their strong jumpers and sprinters that they are known for and Prince Edward County, who was always battling for the team championship, is now in AA. Other teams like Goochland, Powell Valley, Madison Co., and Page Co. lost key runners and throwers in both boys\' and girls\' events. So many are thinking who will be the next star? Who will be the next star like Julius Jones from Powell Valley, graduated in 1999, who destroyed the competition in the hurdles and now is a star at Notre Dame (football). And who will be the next strong team in both boys\' and girls\' events like Madison Co. and George Mason in the 80\'s, Brentsville, Prince Edward and Amelia in the 90\'s.

There is something that will make Single A strong and that is teams moving down from AA. Alta Vista, William Campbell, Central Woodstock, James Monroe, and more moved down and brought great runners and throwers with them. Many of their athletes will make Single A great to watch because they will make everyone else better. I\'m predicting all ready that in the boys\' championship it\'s going to be between James Monroe, Amelia, and Powell Valley. In the girls\' championship, Brentsville and Sussex will battle it out for \"states\".

I believe that close races make it exciting instead of one person or team stealing the show. That\'s what Single A will have, many close and exciting races that many people will remember.
