CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The Virginia High School League and its member institutions granted a request to separate Class 1 and Class 2 schools for the indoor state championships. This change moves them in line with the other classifications and locations.
What is changing: Instead of a combined championship indoors, each classification will have team champions and individual champions. This will likely increase the size of the meet slightly. We already have had multiple heats for some races so the size will not increase a huge amount.
What is staying the same: The venue and dates are not changing. This means you can expect things to be mostly the same for the two days aside from more titles and a slightly altered schedule.
