Two Christopher Newport University cross country runners received weekly honors from the USA South Conference for their performances at the Gettysburg Invitational this past weekend. Senior Nate Wallace was named men\'s cross country runner of the week, while freshmen Jay Wyss was named cross country rooke of the week.

Nate Wallace, Christopher Newport - The Yorktown, VA senior helped the Captains finish ninth at the Gettysburg Invitational. Individually, he finished 35th out of 180 runners with a time of 28:12.
Men\'s Cross Country Rookie of the Week
Jay Wyss, Christopher Newport - The Richmond, VA freshman helped the Captains finish ninth at the Gettysburg Invitational. Individually, he finished seventh out of 180 runners with a time of 27:03. Also nominated: Husein Nasiro-Sigo, Methodist.
