GREENVILLE, N.C. — The NSU women's cross country team finished fourth at the Overtons-Pirate Invitational, hosted by East Carolina, on Saturday. Western Kentucky won the meet, UNC Greensboro was second and Elon was third.
Denisha Hudson (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Lakeland) led NSU for the fourth consecutive time to open the season. She finished ninth overall in 19:32.68. Linah Tallam (Nakuru, Kenya,/Central Arizona CC) was 10th in 19:40.79, Fabiana Perlingeiro (Praia Do Canto, Brazil/Va. Intermont) was 17th in 20:05.93, LaKeasha Dudley (Virginia Beach, Va./Appalachian State) was 39th in 21:40.48, and Cassie Alston (Hampton, Va./Phoebus) was 42nd in 22:11.24.
The NSU men's and women's cross country teams host the NSU Cross Country Invitational on Saturday.
