Commonwealth District Meet Photo Gallery

Commonwealth District boys line up for the start amongst a backdrop of fall colors at Culpeper County High School. Surging towards the front of the pack in the boys race 100m down the course. On the mile+ hill #7 ranked Devin Cornwall from host Culpeper County leads a four pack, followed by Albemarle senior Kelly Watt, Massaponax senior Brandon Dick, and Colonial Forge senior Tony Nowotarski just after they passed the mile marker in a 4:45-4:50 clocking.
A closer shot of Dick and Nowotarski charging up the mile+ hill. A another pack led by a pair of Colonial Forge runners charge the mile+ hill. Coming down the 1 1/2 mile stretch, Cornwall maintains his lead as Dick closes Watt, and then pulls up along side Cornwall.
North Stafford junior Alec Meyer gives chase to the lead pack on the 1 1/2 mile stretch. Another pack of runners, led by Massaponax senior Michael Disilvestro on the left, Colonial Forge junior Dan Lehy in the middle, and North Stafford sophomore Lucas Hatcher on the right. Cornwall and Dick cross the 2 mile+ bridge after posting a 2 mile split of 10:02 amongst the hills and tight turns.
10-15 seconds later, Watt and Nowotarski cross the 2 mile+ bridge. Cornwall and Dick continue a hot pace as they run the 2-2 1/2 stretch past the start and finish lines. Dick takes the lead but as they go into the wooded hills at the 2 1/2 mile point he tires and falls off to 3rd place as Cornwall takes the win. Nowotarski holds on for a second place ahead of Dick.
4th place went to North Stafford sophomore Lucas Hatcher who finished very strong, 5th Albemarle's Kelly Watt, 6th to Massaponax senior Michael Disilvestro, and shown here in 7th is North Stafford junior Alec Meyer. Junior Dan Leyh in 8th place is the 2nd Colonial Forge runner to cross the finish and he is followed by 3 more team mates in positions 10, 11 and 13. Runner up North Stafford placed 4 runners in the top 15. All Commonwealth District runners.

No surprise that the two freshman, Kaylan Comer on the left and Kelly Reinwald on the right are leading after the first mile as they climb the mile+ hill. Not far behind is Albemarle's Rachel Rose and Colonial Forge soph Molly Hawkins. Brooke Point's Brittany Copeland and Brittany Wilhelm and Colonial Forge's KC Wade tackle the mile plus hill next.
Following a pair of North Stafford runners, a pack of Massaponax girls who started dead last are moving up on the mile+ hill. Coach Tori Arther shouts instructions to Kaylon Comer as Kelly Reinwald hangs on tight on the 1 1/2 mile stretch. Rose and Hawkins run side by side on the 1 1/2 mile stretch.
Flanked by a pair of Brittany's is KC Wade on the 1 1/2 mile stretch. Clearing the 2 mile+ bridge, Kaylon Comer has pulled into a slight lead. Heading to the finish is 2004 Commonwealth District champ Kaylon Comer.
Kelly Reinwald takes runner up honors. 3rd place goes to Molly Hawkins. And 4th to Rachel Rose.
KC Wade is 5th. And Brittany Copeland 6th. Followed by a trio of Brook Point girls in 7-9th positions: Brittany Wilhelm, Robin Vanneman and Claudia Vincenti.
In 11th place is Massaponax senior Alicia Arquiette. Rounding out All Distict honors Quinci Donahue from Brooke Point, Amy Yocum from Colonial Forge and Cameron Lewis from North Stafford. The Commonwealth All District girls.
