HARRISONBURG, Va. – JMU's women's cross country team was among the teams receiving votes in the latest FinishLynx Women's Cross Country Rankings, announced Tuesday. The poll ranked 30 teams, and 15 additional teams received votes.
The Dukes are coming off a second-place finish in the Oct. 30 Colonial Athletic Association Championships, run on JMU's home course in New Market, Va. In that meet, the CAA women's race was the most tightly contested in the 21-year history of the event as William and Mary edged JMU by a single point. The Tribe finished with a meet-low score of 36, while the Dukes scored a 37.
JMU's next competition is Nov. 13 at the NCAA Southeast Region Championships in Greenville, N.C.
