Siobhan Ford-Holland of Bethel leaped over 40 feet to win the triple jump at the Russell Blunt Invitational on Friday with a season best mark of 40'0.75". Ford-Holland last went over 40 feet as a sophomore at Thomas Dale High School. Her performance at Duke University was nearly a two foot improvement from her season best during the high school season and joins only AAA state champion Desmonae Gray of Western Branch as the only female athlete to reach over 40 feet in the triple jump this year.

The boys' triple jump saw a first place finish from a Virginian with First Colonial's Allen Bordley bettering his third place 48'0" performance from the AAA State Meet and reached out for a personal best mark of 48'1.25". A rising senior, Bordley will be one of the state's top returnees in the triple jump next year. More updates to come from Russell Blunt through the weekend...
