Group A girls pre-season cross country rankings with 10 deep in teams and 25 deep in individuals. The George Mason girls will be trying to keep up with defending individual state champion Katlyn Ayers (pictured above by Tom Hoerner) while Ayers and her Strasburg teammates will be trying to challenge the defending team state champions from George Mason. Ayers only runs cross country in the fall, but her talent has overidden the fact so far that she is not a year around competitor. She will have another state track champion to deal with in 1600/800 meter champion Clare Moretz of Madison County.
