MileStat's Indoor Track End of Season Awards

Athletes of The Year

Male Athlete of The Year

Davian Booker (Massaponax)

Winning the male athlete of the year award and penultimate award for indoor track is Massaponax star Davian Booker. He scored an impressive 28 points individually at the Class 5 state meet winning the 300 and 500 while also placing second in the 55m Hurdles.

Davian wins this award not only for his consistency but also his speed over 500m where he ranks inside the top 10 all-time nationally with his season best 1:02.18. That time ranks behind just Andrew Salvodon's state record (and former national record). It notably ranks higher than Michael Cherry, Josephus Lyles, Grant Holloway, and LaShawn Merritt to name a few.

Overall Athlete of The Year

Sophie Rambo (Grassfield)

If you took away her national record in the 500, Sophie would probably still be a shoe in for this award. Her season included a four-peat in the Class 6 300m dash, a three-peat in the Class 6 500m dash, and a New Balance national title in the 400m dash.

On top of all of those accolades she set the national record in the 500m dash breaking Athing Mu's record!

Sophie Rambo is without a doubt the athlete of the year and is on the course to cement her name in history nationally if she attacks the outdoor season and hungry as she was indoors.
