FOREST, VA -- The Jefferson Forest girls bullrushed the rest of the teams in the Seminole District as they completed a perfect sweep of placing their entire top 7 in the first 7 spots. It's a rarity, let alone just in dual meets, but do accomplish such a feat in a district meet is simply phenominal. Rounding out the amazing pack of 7 were Shannon Saunders (1st, 19:38), Jennifer Templeton (2nd, 19:55), Kristin Saunders (3rd, 20:08), Carly Sitterley (4th, 20:43), Cate Jackson (5th, 20:58), Stefanie Erb (6th, 22:06), and Meg Dailey (7th, 22:10).
While the Jefferson Forest boys couldn't pull off the perfect sweep, they still destroyed the boys side of the coin, as they placed 5 runners in the top 10 and their entire top 7 in the top 15 for a total score of 27 points. They were led by Derek Miller, who won the boys race in a time of 17:33.
