UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - University of Richmond freshman Katie Van Horn (Glendora, N.J.) was named the Atlantic 10 Women\'s Cross Country Rookie of the Week after finishing 41st out of 307 runners at the Paul Short Invitational on Oct. 1.
Van Horn crossed the finish line in 21:35.8 to finish with the same time as Richmond junior Amanda Russell (North Bay, Ontario). This is Van Horn\'s second Altantic 10 Rookie of the Week honor.
The Spiders finished 13th out of 47 teams at the Paul Short Invitational, hosted by Lehigh.
Richmond returns to action on Oct. 15 at the Arkansas Chile Pepper Festival.
